Satyanarayana Pooja

Satyanarayana Pooja is the pooja involving abhisheka and aarti to Lord Satyanarayana (Vishnu) along with his consort (Mahalakshmi) and reading hymns from the Skanda Purana.

Satyanarayana Vrata is performed on the full moon night of every month. The pooja begins with the invocation of Lord Ganesha, Navagrahas and Satyanarayana along with Goddess Mahalakshmi. After performing abhisheka, various hymns are chanted in praise of the Lord. The most acclaimed recital is the Adhyayas (Stories) from Skanda Purana. Performing this pooja facilitates clarity in thoughts and deletes the sins of the past and present life. It strengthens a person's mental health and the person becomes more connected and focused on their path which improves the overall health It enables a person to move from maya (materialism) to moksha (liberation).
